Cylinder TUM 80 ell. TUM 80A ?????

Jeg mangler en TUM 80A cylinder. Jeg har 3-4 styk TUM 80 som er i fin stand
Findes der nogle der har praktisk erfaring med at anvende cylinder TUM 80 som erstatning for TUM80A.
Jeg kan se at TUM 80A har større exhaust port. Denne port kan jeg bore op, tænker jeg.

Fantastisk forum, men lidt stille her i vinter tiden.

Are there some who have practical experience in using TUM cylinder 80 as a replacement for TUM80A.
I can see that TUM 80A have larger exhaust port. This port, I can change, I think.

Yes, you can drill out the ports to larger sizes. To make a TUM80A cylinder, you need an 8 mm inlet port and 13 mm exhaust port.

I don't come across many TUM80 cylinders here. But I've opened many inlet ports on TUM80A and TUM80A CM 6.5 cylinders with no problems.
The only difference between the TUM80 and TUM80A is the size of the ports, so as long as you can open the ports to the correct sizes, you will have no other problems.

Opens the inlet port, sounds interesting. Inlet is standard Ø = 8 mm
what have you change to? I Have tried to change to Ø = 8.5 mm. without any result

I usually open the inlet to 8.25. If you have a long skirt piston, you must modify the skirt.

With the 8.25 inlet and short skirt piston (or modified long skirt piston), also try this... a 32 cc fuel jet, 16 mm exhaust, and NGHK BP5HS spark plug:
