hello solexine
i need a little help and advice
ive just gone mental and ordered a massive amout of tuning parts to my new motor build. This s*** cost the dollar so i started buying parts already last year.
Now i would like to know ,if anyone of you solexfreaks got any experience with one or more of the ...
tuning cylinder
[url=]
tuning piston
smaller crankshaft-housing
bigger intake ø11mm and exhaust+flange
variable gaznozzle
cylinder head
1.5mm shorter/flater, so combustion champer frinded down to maximixe the compustion.and therby make the motor run
tun karburator
does anyone got any input one one or more of these parts ?, maybe one or more
best regards sune

Those pieces are only for racing...not for street riding.
With over 4000 RPM, the flywheel and or drive-roller will explode...very dangerous!
https://youtu.be/dGg-QvlzyMU
Also, the Solex brakes are weak already...with more speed, they will not stop you...very dangerous.
The frame is only bolt-together...very weak...very dangerous at higher speeds.
The tires are only rated for 30 kph...you risk a blow-out at higher speeds...very dangerous.
I don't recommend any of it.
If you want to go fast, try some other vehicle. Just my opinion. Please be careful.

Hello brian and thank you for your input.
Well my idea wasnt to go all in and just put as much "junk" on my solex as i could, buuuut on the other hand it would be fun if it got more torque and topspeed, being a "big" man like me most velo solex which are original and newly renovated, run about 20-25 uphill and 30-35 on a good day without the wind in my face ...
Anyway ive wrotten alot with bertrand, the man that makes these parts and he recommended me to buy the cylinder and piston set and just drive it with a normal carb, exhaust and 32cc gaznoxxle og variable one,
Up my gaz/oil mix to 3% , and i should end up with a solex that would run about 30km uphill and 35-40on straight open road.
And that sounds good in my ears , its just what is was looking for, but of course the solex wasnt ment to go fast and i will be adding som extra brakes and stifen the fra a little up , without making it to heavy.
I think one og the reasons i posted the pictures, was to show that you actually can buy tuning parts for a solex. I heard very, very often that this dosent exist and all you can do i weld a nickel to the piston top and maybe fiddle a little with the skirt on the piston, and fuel vs. Air. Can alson improve your bike.
Other than that , the regular answer is , just renovate your engine with new parts, gaskets, ignition etc. And you will have a super engine .... Which is true , but its stil slow and theres still hills it cant climp if you way 100kg like a real man .....
Then one could think, maybe you should buy a new scooter or a mc. But i dont want that, i want a velo solex, i love these machines and will be riding them til i die ! ... But that dosent mean theres room for fun and improvement IMO. .... And i say all this with a smile
Rock on !

Yes, I know Bertrand very well.
You'll definitely gain top speed...that's quite easy to do.... but I'm not sure that you'll gain much torque for hill climbing...please keep us updated.
